Spin Doctor RI Wedges Review
The Spin Doctor RI Wedge is marketed toward the amateur player. This wedge has a classic head shape, satin finish, and a steel shaft. Spin Doctor also offers a unique technology that they call the Replace Insert System. Oh, the spin it will put in your short game. The leading wedge usually gives a back spin somewhere between 2,000 to 4,000 rpm's, but the Spin Doctor RI Wedge gives a back spin of almost 12,000 rpm's.
There are 5 different Pro-Style Inserts that can be purchased for the Spin Doctor Wedge. The Tungsten Carbide Insert's small tungsten particles grab a hold of the ball to put an amazing spin on your shot. The Diamond Insert's diamond particles give the player control and put a tight stop on the ball. Then, there is the Titanium Insert that gives consistent results and a better feel when making contact with the ball. The “Self-Rusting” Black Star Insert has a self-rusting process that provides excellent spin control. And, there is the Nickel Insert. This insert has the standard specs seen in most other wedges that give a golfer control and playability.
Spin Doctor manufactures a gap wedge with a 52/10 degree loft and bounce, a sand wedge with a 56/10 degree loft and bounce, and lob wedge with a 60/16 degree loft and bounce.
